Aztec offer a scan based panel to track the Pharmacy
distribution channel in both Australia and New Zealand. The representative
sample of stores in the panel covers metropolitan and rural areas as well as an
excellent cross-section of the various pharmacy banners in both countries.
This Pharmacy service provides customers with invaluable information on
consumer rather than trade behaviour for the first time. Consumer scan data is
particularly important for tracking seasonal lines and new product launches.
Synovate Aztec’s Pharmacy scan panel reports the actual
retail price paid by the consumer and hence shows the value of the market in
retail dollar value. The weekly collected data is updated on a 4-weekly basis,
and is supported by Synovate Aztec’s software
applications - Temple, SmartView and Habenero.
In today’s increasingly competitive
marketplace it is no longer good enough to know what sales you achieved; you

from a clients own internal data using the
AZTEC DITO Program. This utility takes data
from any ODBC data source and creates a Temple
database with appropriate filters and
hierarchies. Using DITO, Data Marts can be
created from existing Data warehouses. For
existing clients this will bring the scan data
and internal data onto the same AZTEC Temple
platform. DITO also creates all totalling
required and has proven to do this much
quicker than existing methods available in
data warehouses.
